Were any of you able to attend the Autumn Soul Session Vol. 2 that went down in DC in early October? This event featured two up and coming artists that you definitely should check out:
Vol. 2 of the Autumn Soul Session featured the self-proclaimed "people watcher, dreamer and lover of philosophy", Debórah Bond (pronounced De-BOR-rah). She credits Anita Baker, Chaka Khan, and Sade as the roots, which shaped her sound.

A variety of diverse, yet similarly funky artists pooled together in LivSuite’s Columbus Day Soul Session. It was the first time I’d seen Levi Stephens, the first time I’d even heard of Shae Fiol, and the first time I would see Deborah Bond perform material from her latest release Madam Palindrome.

The brainchild of Founder and CEO Elvis Colbert, LivSuite is a quarterly concert series bringing talented indie artists from across the US to Washington, DC. I recently had the opportunity to attend the Autumn Soul 2011 show held at Twelve Lounge in the increasingly popular H Street, NE corridor just minutes from Union Station and Capitol Hill. This quarter’s line-up brought together an eclectic mix of Folk, Soul, and R&B for a powerhouse night of music.

Sunday evening I had the opportunity to attend an event hosted by
LivSuite called Autumn Soul, which I spoke briefly about last week. This event which is catered to the “music lover” showcases select artists seasonally at Twelve Lounge, and the rotation of artists are always the best of the best within the indie music scene.
